Damasco Ssesanga says "Very Wello" to his biggest show yet

Gospel artist Damasco Ssesanga is set to hold his own show this Friday, August 14, at Ndele Cultural Centre in Kampala. The concert, dubbed the "Very WelLo Concert," takes its name from his popular collaborative single "Very Wello" with Pastor Wilson Bugembe, and is being promoted as a night for fans and the wider gospel community to come out and support the young artist.
Grown out of Pastor Bugembe's church
Damasco's musical journey traces back to the worship house pastored by Wilson Bugembe, the celebrated gospel singer and church leader. It is within that congregation that Damasco developed as an artist, and the mentorship has stayed central to his career, most visibly through "Very Wello," his 2025 collaboration with Bugembe that lends its name to Friday's concert. That close relationship, from choir to collaborator, is part of what organisers are leaning on to draw fans to Ndele Cultural Centre.
The concert and its promotion
Promotion for the event has leaned heavily on community mobilisation, with fans and supporters circulating invitations online urging well wishers to turn up and back Damasco. Tickets for the concert are being sold through Karitickets, a Uganda based online ticketing platform operated by Karizm, one of East Africa's leading arts and entertainment companies. Karitickets handles the event listing, ticket sales and promotion for the show, alongside the wider circle of fans and church community driving grassroots turnout for the night.
His top songs
Damasco's catalogue has grown steadily since he first emerged from Bugembe's worship house, and a number of his songs have stood out with fans:
Very Wello (feat. Pastor Wilson Bugembe) – the 2025 collaboration that gives the concert its name
Munange Munange – a reflective, faith centred single released in 2025/2026
Gumponya – one of his more recent, well received singles
Tukolere Ngabalaba – an earlier fan favourite from 2024
Nayingira – his 2026 single
Maama Wange, Osanide, Number Moja, Akyikoze Neera and Abadewo – part of his earlier catalogue that helped build his following
What to expect
Set at Ndele Cultural Centre, the "Very WelLo Concert" is shaping up as Damasco's most significant solo live outing yet, coming as he continues to grow his profile as a gospel artist, songwriter and the face of the LOCA Charity Foundation. Fans attending can expect a set built around his faith centred catalogue, with the possibility of an appearance from Pastor Wilson Bugembe himself, given the pair's close musical partnership.
