Morocco asserted their dominance early, with Mohamed Hrimat breaking the deadlock in the first half. Oussama Lamlioui doubled the lead, putting Zambia on the back foot. Despite a spirited effort, the Copper Bullets struggled to contain Morocco’s attacking flair.
Sabir Bougrine sealed the victory with a third goal, leaving Zambia with a mountain to climb.
