The 23-year-old centre-back impressed in Tunisia following his arrival last season, quickly earning praise for his composure, versatility, and leadership at the back. His consistent performances caught the attention of Al-Arabi SC, one of Kuwait’s most decorated football clubs. Rising star of Ugandan Football
Ssemakula’s journey began at Uganda’s Busoga United before he made a move to BUL FC. However, it was at SC Villa where he truly came into his own. As club captain, he led the legendary Kampala-based side to their record-extending 17th Ugandan Premier League title in the 2023/24 season. Fans still recall his iconic last-minute winning goal against URA FC — a moment that secured the championship and etched his name into Villa folklore.
Primarily deployed as a centre-back, Ssemakula's tactical intelligence allows him to also excel at right-back and in central midfield. His adaptability and work ethic make him a valuable asset in any squad setup.
